Someday, I want to be there to see it.

I remember a week ago, I saw a TV programme introducing Dubai, the pearl of the Gulf. I was generally being my curious self and wanted to know more about that place.

According to the show, Dubai's most interesting in its architechtures. Every of its many modern buildings were build by architects from different countries. According to its minister of developement, this is to ensure that Dubai have its own uniquely designed urban jungle.

The most famous of all Dubai's architecture wonders is the Buri Al Arab. It's the world's only 7 star hotel. And as the programme takes us for a trip through the interior of the best hotel in the world, I am amazed. Everywhere in the luxurious hotel, gold sparkled. Every floor of the hotel have its own butler. And as u look down from the higher floors, u would realise tt the hotel was made to look like a giant kalidescope. It was a facinating sight. It is definitely THE place to go if u were rich AND famous.

And i was amazed to find tt u can find the eighth wonder of the world in Dubai. The world's largest two man-made island, the Palm islands, are being built at the coasts of Dubai. The two Dubai islands, The Palm Jumeirah and The Palm Jebel Ali, will be built in the shape of date palm trees and consist of a trunk; a crown with 17 fronds; and a surrounding crescent island - the back of which forms the breakwater. Collectively, the island will support more than than 60 luxury hotels, 4,000 exclusive residential villas (sale), 1,000 unique water homes (sale), 5,000 shoreline apartments (sale), marinas, water theme parks, restaurants, shopping malls, sports facilities, health spas, cinemas and various dive sites.

The former is expected to be completed in early 2006 and the latter to be completed by the end of 2007. And tt's not all. A third Palm have been announced to be built. The Palm Deira will be the largest of the 3 palms.

And foreigners are welcomed to owning their own properties on the Palms. I would sure love to live in a place like tt. And guess who had already booked in advance for houses there. People like Beckham and wife, Michael Jorden and many more. But sorry to disappoint many but, the middle price range of the private housings on the Palms is US$3 million. If only i could afford...haha fat hope...
