More than meets the eye...

As a boy, I grew up watching cartoons like Transformers and He-man : Master of the universe. Good Robots fighting evil robots, superheros fighting super-villains... That kind of stuff.

People, who share my interests in these boyish childhood fantasies, would properly agree that Transformers rocks and that Optimus Prime kicks A**. What better way to combine Cars and robots(boys and usually men, loves these 2) together.

And now, transformers has (pardon the pun) transformed from 2D cartoons to a full CGI movie. It's like many boys' (and men's) dreams come true. How many of us felt a sense of awe when Optimus uttered the famous line, "Autobots, roll out.".

I was there when Optimus mutilated Bonecrusher's head. I was there when Megatron tore Jass into scrap. And I was there when the Optimus Prime and his autobots were destroyed in the original cartoons, all so that Hasbro can start its new line of toy franchise. Young boys were made to watch their heros get decimated and to face the truth about life and death. I was there...

And so, I look at the cartoons boys watch nowadays. And I can proudly say to them, "Your cartoons are for girls."
