I am back in NY! Time flies when you are having fun and so, in the blink of an eye, summer holidays is gone. I hate long flights that span half the planet.

Self-imposed quarantine
I am back from New York! Being a responsible citizen, I have decided to quarantine myself for 3 days at home. Hope time flies...

The economics of life. My life.
As I dive deeper into the world of economics, I realized that I started to look at this world in a different view. What is my opportunity cost of doing this? How do i lower my opportunity cost of doing that?
I began to see a world surrounded by scarcity and the choices that I have to make in my life. A world made of numbers and statistics and facts. This is nothing like the carefree life of a teenager. This is adulthood and I am right in it.
There are things that I wish I could do and words I wish to say now, but instead had to postpone till further notice. And there are things that I don't want to do, but had to because the situation calls for it.
This is the harsh reality of this world we live in. However much I would like to refuse this reality, it captures me and forces my eyes open to look at it.
What I see, I do not like. This cold, lonely world I am in. I brave it alone, a tiny timid soul. Am I lacking something? Maybe.

Random recollections~~
Firstly, I want to say sorry that I didn't get any nice autumn pics for you, wy. My handphone really can't take any decent photo that is half worth your time. Hope I can get a digital camera cheap with a discount during the Thanks-giving weekend. Here's another accumulation of low quality pics~~
Went hiking one day with some friends in the morning, and it was freaking cold. Look at the frost on the chair and you can see that I mean it when I say COLD... CY Peace!
Scrapped some frost off the railing of a bridge.
A lonely/lovely little mountain path that leads...hell-knows-where~~
A scenic pic of a pond by the hills behind my uni...I liked this pic the best.
The sun shining down on us...Blessed sunlight!!
More trees dressing up for Autumn
A very pretty tree in my opinion...the Home-coming Queen in the world of trees~~
A pic of one of the many hills that span the region of Binghamton...
Some thing chewed the shit out of this tree. A beaver perhaps...
Shadows formed under the bright autumn sun...
Trees standing guard by the main road...
A carpet of leaves that created a crisp crunching sound whenever I walked over them.
Some Halloween masks that we shopped for but didn't get in the end...
It snowed on one of the morning a few days ago. These cars were all caught in the open by the shower. But soon the sun will free them.
The grass field covered in snow. I was rushing to an early class that I was already late for, so I couldn't take more pics. By the time I was free to step out into the open, the sun has mercilessly erased the snow from the landscape. Well, too bad. But I know that it will be winter for 6 months here. Plenty of chance for snowscape photos, I would say.
Soon I will be back in Singapore where the Sun shines 24/7 and sweat sticks to your back. I'm loving it!!!

Autumn season/the Big Apple
It is Autumn season now in US and the temperature is starting to drop. Heard the winter here is going to be harsh. I miss Singapore... Oh well~ Anyway I went to the Big Apple during the Jewish Holidays this week. It was a blast, though it was just a short 3 days/2 nights trip. Here are some photos~
The forest outside my Hall is changing color.
So had my hair change color too.
When we reached New York, we visited these places. I should have more pics, but they are all in my friend's camera. I will post them on my blog some other time.
The NY subway.
The Dow Jones
The crossroad at Time Square
A theatre on broadway.
The NYPD in Time Square.
My friend is shy.
A Yankees cap I bought in NY.
Me with my new cap. You guys like it?

My 1st Limousine ride!!!
I went to Mando bookstore with a couple of friends for my textbooks on Monday and the books were like SUPER-DUPER expensive. Why don't they just go over to the bank next-door and rob it? Daylight robbery would be more similar to what they are charging us for the books.
BUT their services were very friendly and efficient, PLUS they have got.......hold your breathes........FREE limousine service back to campus!!!
CREDITS
Thanks to HAO CHENG, DALIA, DAPHNE and CHRISTINA for their appearances in the video.
Special mention of the limousine driver for his guest appearance.
And a round of applause for the Director, Lead Actor and yours truly, cY. {CLAP,CLAP,CLAP....}

I have been in the States for almost 2 weeks now. School's started and things are starting to pick up. I am living with a Romanian, a French and a triad of guys from Turkey. Yipeee. Pardon my lack of enthusiasm. The following are some of the photos I took here. There will be more every-now-and-then. So stay tuned.
My room. My home away from home for now.
Anyone still using this kind of LKK phone?
The living is filled with boxes the other guys used to move in with.
Me, taking a photo of myself in the room mirror.
iMacs for everyone, available in the library!

Brrrrr...
This is Weatherman, cY, bringing you the latest weather forecast in Binghamton, New York.
It is 11 degrees celsius outside right now. And it is still summer.
Oh well. I have arrived at the Binghamton University, SUNY. The place is surrounded by rivers, hills, woods and animals. The scenery is to die for.
And did I mention animals? I see squirrels running right in the middle of campus, a deer stared at me when I took a small path through the woods and I heard from people that there might be wolves and bears out there. It's like a zoo out there, except that no one is charging me for it.
Did I also mentioned that it is too god-damned cold for a summer? I can't imagine what state I would be in when winter arrives. Wait to meet cY, the human popsicle.
I will be uploading some pics of the scenery soon.

Stroke of a genius

One world, one dream
I apologise beforehand for the plagiarism on the Beijing Olympic song. A bizzare idea stroke me to change the lyrics of the song. In appreciation to a group of friends that I have the privilege to befriend.
Lyes, this post is dedicated to you people. Hope your can know how much your friendships mean to me.
(Same music, different song)
Your and me. From one world.
Heart to heart. We are Lye family.
For dreams I travel. Thousands of miles.
We'll meet in Singapore. Come together.
The joy we share. Your and me.
From one world. Forever we are Lye family.
Cheerz 8)...
(P.S.: Please support Beijing Olympic 2008.

White white winter land
China met its worst winter in 50 years. I had the honour of getting caught in it.
More pics will be uploaded when I received all the photos taken during the trip from my 堂妹.
Oh my! It's snowing!
A Guan Yin Sculpture created by an expert.
Footprints on the snow field.
Icicles.
I created a tiny snowman. I named it xiao bai. Construction in progress.
Xiao bai by yours truly. He's got real big hands.
A lone pavillion situated on a distant peak.
A frozen lake...
An alley in the snow. Classic.
A whole mountain full of snow-covered trees.
Snow covered everything.
